Quiénes somos?

En 1991 se fundó el Hogar de Ancianos Eliseo Alvarez Luna. Su nombre lo toma de un hombre de bien, que se dedicó en cuerpo y alma a servir al prójimo. A su muerte dejó una herencia la cual fue utilizada para dar el primer paso a tan hermoso proyecto.

Somos una institución sin fines de lucro que quiere servir en esta etapa tan delicada de la vida, en un lugar donde se brinde amor, comida, atención, vivienda, y donde se suplan las necesidades de aquellos que envejecen y necesitan de una mano de amor.

Ya el Hogar ha dado servicio a aproximadamente 70 ancianos. Algunos de estos viviendo aquí largos periodos de tiempo, hasta su muerte.

Actualmente tenemos 18 ancianos y no contamos con espacio para más, por lo cual estamos proyectando nuevas edificaciones y así aumentar el número de viviendas en etapas. Tenemos suficiente terreno para edificar nuevas viviendas y mejorar las existentes, pero para esto necesitamos la ayuda de todo aquel que se sienta identificado y tenga los recursos y el deseo de aportar en esta obra.

Estamos abiertos a recibir cualquier persona sin importar su credo o clase social. Nuestro deseo es servir a nuestra comunidad, la cual necesita tanto de estos servicios.

Who we are

In 1991 the Hogar de Ancianos Alvarez Luna was founded.  It was named in honor to a man who dedicated his life to love and serve others. When he died he left his house and land, an inheritance to make the first steps towards this beautiful project.

The Hogar has been a home for over 70 elderly so far. Some of them have lived here for long periods of time, until their death. Currently we have 18 elderly living at the Hogar. Unfortunately we do not have place for more. This is why we are in the process of building new facilities to accommodate more. This we are planning to do in several faces. We have the space, enough land to build. So far we have completed face one. But, we need more resources to keep on building and improve the existing ones. We need the help and support of anyone who would like to help us in this project.

We are open for help coming from anyone no matter race, credo or social class. Our desire is to serve our community that is in much need of a place where their elderly is cared for in a loving way. Your contribution is very important to us.

Cómo Cooperar?

Actualmente, el Hogar de Ancianos es sustentado por ofrendas del concilio de las Asambleas de Dios, de otras iglesias, hermanos y amigos de dentro y fuera del país, así como por empresas e instituciones que se dedican a ayudar voluntariamente, donando de su tiempo y sirviendo a los ancianos con amor.

1. Patrocinando a un anciano
2. Con una ofrenda especial
3. Mediante donaciones de productos alimenticios
4. Mediante un compromiso mensual de donación
5. Colaborando para la compra de un vehículo para el hogar
6. Cooperando con la construcción de las habitaciones
7. Donando tiempo para servir a los ancianos
8. Donando tiempo para participar con los ancianos en actividades creativas
9. Donando talento para alegrar y compartir el arte, la música y el teatro con los del Hogar
   
   Escuelas, clubes, agrupaciones y asociaciones son mas que bienvenidas para visitar, servir y alegrar a los ancianos.

   How to Cooperate

   
   

   The Hogar, currently survives thanks to the offerings we receive from the Council of the Assemblies of God church in the Dominican Republic, as well as to the gifts and donations we receive from other churches, brothers and sisters in the faith, friends from in- and outside the country, and the kind gifts we receive from institutions and businesses that voluntarily donate their money, time and help to serve the elderly.

   
   

   You could help us by:

   
   

   1. Supporting financially one or more of the elderly people living at the Hogar.

   2. Giving us a special offering.

   3. Donating food or edible products.

   4. Donating monthly a certain amount of money.

   5. Collaborating financially to buy a vehicle for the Hogar.

   6. Collaborating financially or with construction materials for the construction of the bedrooms/ living area needed.

   7. Donating time to come and serve the elderly living at the Hogar.

   8. Donating time to organize and lead creative activities for and with the elderly.

   
   

   9. Donating your talent to make the elderly happy with music, art and theater.

   
   
   

   Schools, clubs, associations, among others, are more than welcome to come and serve, help and provide a happy day to the elderly living at the Hogar.
